Past RISER Edmonton Projects

Past RISER projects have gone on to receive multiple Sterling Award nominations, presentations across Canada, and new collaborations with program artists and partners years into the future. But don’t take it from us, here’s what we’ve heard from past RISER artists:

“What struck me most about the mentorship provided to me through the RISER project was that … I was being encouraged to lean into my unique experiences and use them to build the project I wanted to see as an audience member. This allowed me to do better outreach, make better partnerships, and work authentically: we ultimately saw more disabled audience members at our production than I’ve seen at almost any other indie theatre project I’ve attended or worked.”
– Carly Neis, In My Own Little Corner

“My confidence has grown … As a producer, it’s given me a lot more insight into how to organize and run an event.”
– Saint Jackson, Prayers in Peril

“Because of this program, I learned to trust. I’ve developed the sense of expertise with the team members, and learning to trust each member’s process too. I didn’t realize that while we’re all going through this process together, every single member has their own process too.”
– Kena León, The Debut
