Trash & Treasure: A Thrift Gala with Latitude 53

Two arts organizations are teaming up for one art-filled night supporting hundreds of Edmonton artists!

Common Ground Arts Society and Latitude 53 present Trash & Treasure: A Thrift Gala.

All proceeds and donations gathered through this event page and fundraiser will be shared between Latitude 53 and Common Ground Arts Society.

If there’s anything Edmonton’s artists know, it’s making a little bit go a long way. In that spirit, we’re challenging you to pick out your best thrifted, upcycled, or homemade looks and dance the night away with us. Food, drinks, raffles, 50/50, music, and more: It’s all waiting for you at Trash & Treasure!

FEATURING:
7:30-10:00pm: Performances by D’orjay and the Lovely Luvies Fam, Just Moe, and DJ Michelle Campos Castillo
10:00pm: Runway show featuring looks made right before your eyes by Frances Girard, Beverly Gan, and Merlin Uwalaka PLUS drag performances by Mx. Jackson and Audrina Linn
10:30-close: DJ dance party with Kena León

Not sure you’ve got the right look? We’ve got you covered. We’re partnering with Blenderz Garment Recyclers for a hands-on upcycling workshop prior to the dance party. Customize clothing with fabric paint and markers or make your own patches with found textiles! Bring your own pieces, or pick through a selection of clothing and textiles from Blenderz.
