Job Posting: Found Festival 2024 Front-of-House

In case you missed it, we just announced our 2024 Found Festival, packed full of theatre and performance all over the city! We’re ramping up towards one of Common Ground’s biggest festivals ever with a dedicated team of enthusiastic and creative arts workers who love to create unforgettable experiences.

We’re seeking 2-3 Front-of-House staff to join us July 2-14 to support Festival activities and our incredible volunteer team. Applications will be considered for one of two roles:

FESTIVAL FRONT-OF-HOUSE

  • Positions: 1-2
  • 2-4 hours of prep meetings in June 2024
  • Some prep hours July 2-3
  • 7-10 hours daily July 4-7
  • Total hours expected: 30-40
  • Supports Festival artists in welcoming and supporting project audiences at various sites.
  • Acts as a point-of-contact for volunteers and artists for any support required on site.
  • Ensures any cash and project materials are securely transported to and from our main site.
  • Some venues will require staff and volunteers to move on uneven / grassy terrain and carry 5-10lbs of signage / equipment.

BRICK SHITHOUSE HOUSE MANAGER

  • Positions: 1
  • 2-4 hours of prep meetings in June 2024
  • 10-15 prep hours July 2-4
  • 4-5 hours daily July 4-7
  • Additional 10-20 hours supporting extended performances July 9-14
  • Total hours expected: 40
  • This role requires access to a vehicle and valid drivers’ license. A stipend for vehicle use will be provided for this role.
  • Leads front-of-house activities for the run of Brick Shithouse at The Tesserae Factory (11210 143 Street)
  • Acts as a point-of-contact for volunteers and artists for any support required on site.

Both roles will be paid at $21.00/hour and be engaged as contractors.

Assets for Found Festival staff include any prior experience working with public audiences at arts or other events, past interaction with Found Festival activities, willingness to learn quickly and solve problems creatively, and any prior experience in theatre or arts event production.
