Intergenerational Songwriters’ Circle – Saturday, September 20th 2:00 – 4:00pm
Hosted by Jim Alvarez & Zoë James
Writing songs, performing and playing music for over 50 years, Jim Alvarez is a diehard Beatles fan, a proud Filipino Canadian, and an even prouder Lolo (grandfather). Newer to the music scene, playing festivals, clubs and arts events for the past couple years, Zoë James is a lover of harmonies, excited about the latest Lucy Dacus album and a wise old soul of a grandchild.
Together these Regina-based, related artists will share some songs, some thoughts on process and some inspiration they’ve found in each other’s music. Join them! Bring a guitar, a song to share, or just yourself, for this enjoyable, easygoing two hours of music and connection.
Golden Potluck – Sunday, September 21st 5:00 – 7:00pm

- Ongoing learning – being both audience & participant, a playful integrated workshop through performance and participation
- Integration – making relationships while making art
- Inclusion – sharing art accurately representing the audience and their communities
- Bridging – inviting in people to community arts events they may not have attended before
