FF26 Music Series: Dial Up, Tebby & The Heavy, Klow.

Klow. A solo project from Chloe Yakymyshyn that started its journey in 2018. Learning bass opened the door to endless possibility in genre writing for her and it continues to evolves through every year and alongside every project she dives into. Themes of sad and mad combat and hug it out as she serenades, yells, screams and just deadpan talks to her audience about her experiences. Hope of relation is propped by poppy aspects of her songwriting with additions of folk, punk and post punk aspects to drive her viewpoints across. Her name is Chloe, but you can call her Klow.

Tebby & The Heavy are an alternative rock band from Canada, blending the washed-out textures of ’90s shoegaze with the pulse of neo-psychedelia and a splash of surf.

They released their debut album Heavy Afternoon in August 2025, debuting at #1 on multiple college radio stations across Canada, landing in the national Top 10 on !earshot, and earning recognition as Exclaim! New Faves, alongside a feature on CBC Radio One.

Improvisational art punk meets no-wave in a 4-piece exquisite corpse featuring fast and furious drums, scratchy egg-punk guitar, wandering, funky bass lines, and a healthy helping of synthesizers, pedals, and electronic treats. Powered by collaborative play and a wide range of influences, Dial Up’s music is a bit like cooking a leftover surprise – it’s fast, intuitive, it has a lot of weird ingredients, but it feels surprisingly great going down.
