Casting Call: Ms. Pat’s Kitchen

As part of our 2025-26 RISER Edmonton program, Jameela McNeil will produce her play Ms. Pat’s Kitchen as part of the 2026 SkirtsAfire Festival.

ABOUT MS. PAT’S KITCHEN

Pat Bailey would do anything to see her daughter succeed, but what if the very thing that could change her life for good is the very thing that harms her? Ms. Pat’s Kitchen is a story about family navigating growing pains, secrets, and change. It is a story that highlights the importance of motherhood, friendship, and sacrifice.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Robert: late 40’s-mid 50’s, husband, father, Jamaican, craves more out of life.

Jamaican dialect preferred but can work with other Caribbean dialects as well.

Performers will be paid at or above scale with Equity’s Indie 3.0 agreement. Equity and non-Equity members welcome to apply. Rehearsal and performance dates will fall between February 9-March 14, 2026 (final rehearsal and performance dates are TBC, but a full-time rehearsal schedule is expected).
