About the Prairie Mainstage Series:
Each year, Common Ground Arts will present one new Edmonton production and another from across the prairie provinces in our Prairie Mainstage Series.
Why?
- There aren’t enough professional presentation opportunities on the prairies: We want to dismantle the substantial barriers artists face to find second or third presentations of new works.
- Professional theatre opportunities need to become more accessible: We want to test new models of sustainable, equitable presentation that put artist care first.
- Our region’s arts communities are stronger together: We want to build relationships with presenters across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba to establish a strong touring network for prairie indie theatre.
