Starting location: Strathcona Spirits (10122 81 Ave NW)

Join us on a wild walk in Old Strathcona. Hold the pints — we’re looking for seven tales told by puppets, along the hidden corners of Edmonton’s most mythical neighbourhood. Puppet Pub Crawl is a tour of a forgotten tour. A reconnection. A backwards glance. A musical interlude. Puppets will share their own needs for connection and the pressure – or desire – they feel to form them with strangers. Like any unforgettable night out, it’s all about the friends you make along the way.

Audiences will follow a dedicated path to discover puppet performances. Despite the title of the show, there will be no consumption of alcohol in these performances and the performances will be entirely outdoors. There are no stairs but there will be uneven ground for the path — largely on pavement and gravel along back alleys of businesses.

Recommended for audiences aged 16 and up. Make an informed decision about your Found experience! Click the content warning below for more information.

The Puppet Pub Crawl features sexually explicit language and themes, and other coarse language.

COVID-19: This will be a roving, outdoor performance. You will only view the show with your household, and will never be closer than 2 metres from a Festival staff member or performer. We encourage you to stay masked throughout the entire performance.

TICKET PRICING
It’s darn important to us that Found Festival remains accessible for as many Foundsters in our community as possible. That includes making all tickets Offer What You Will. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. But if you’re able, we ask you please offer the listed recommended ticket price. As a tiny but mighty arts org getting it done on passion and grit, Common Ground Arts Society relies on donations to help keep our scrappy operation afloat. Every offer you make goes directly toward supporting artists in our community.

We find ourselves in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ) on Treaty 6 territory, traditional lands of the Cree, Nakota, Blackfoot, Dene, Saulteaux, Metis, and other indigenous peoples who have made this place home long before we settled here. For thousands of years, people have gathered here to share in story, community, and creative exchange.

We find ourselves thankful: thankful to play a small part in that long-standing tradition, a tradition carried on the shoulders of so many creators, builders, dreamers, agitators, and makers who came before us, and who will come long after us.

We find ourselves inspired: inspired by an evolving community of artists who passionately spark the magic that manifests when we surrender ourselves to the long summer days of this northern place.

We find ourselves grateful: grateful to everyone who rallies around this tiny but mighty Festival — the artists, the volunteers, the staff, the audience, the board, the mentors, the partners and sponsors, the funders, the believers. Found Festival exists because of you.
